Discover the real-world value of English
From school grades to SATs, college admissions to job interviews, professional & personal relationships - English is a measure of success. No matter where you go. No matter what you do.
Because English is more than a subject. It’s a life-skill.

Better in English,
Better at Everything
Begin
at the baseline. Strengthen the basics.
Refine your grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing skills. Write well-formed answers to improve scores in all subjects. And sail through academics!
Bridge
any previous learning gaps that were hurting performance.
The incorrect writing habits. Poor spellings. Bad grammar - that never got corrected and went on, grade after grade.
Build
critical-thinking & communication skills.
More importantly, a profound love & knowledge of English language that stays life-long.

Learn from top educators, authors, & communication experts
Our teachers are experts in their own fields, who know & recognize the value of English Language Arts in life and career. With a low student-teacher ratio in each class (4:1 or 6:1), your child gets personal guidance and support from every tutor.

Eileen Mammen
Program creator
A credentialed English educator from California, she has made thousands of high school and college students fall in love with English over the last 15 years. A children’s book author, avid cyclist (aiming for the races) and mom of four, she loves making the language meaningful through literature, figurative language, & conceptual knowledge. Her passion, in her own words, is to get the world to “read, write, appreciate history & identity.” Oh, and she’s also the mastermind behind English Bridge Program!

Rebekah
Teacher
A communications expert with a strong background in HR, she’s worked for hi-tech companies and taught English to kids and young adults alike. An author and a happy baker ‘whenever time allows’, she believes a strong command of the language is a must for all. And she loves seeing those precious “aha” moments every student has when learning about the language she’s been teaching more than 30 years.

Melinda
Teacher
Melinda has been a teacher in both traditional & Montessori schools for many years, working with grades 1 - 12, university students, & adults. She loves helping students refine their writing skills so that they can communicate and express themselves. She tries to make her sessions educational but without missing out on the fun. When not teaching, you will find her at the beach, reading, contra dancing, or playing board games.

Rachael
Teacher
A Masters in Technology in Education, Rachael has been teaching English for 19 years now. She values the depth of friendship & connection, be it with her students or others. She believes literature helps us have shared experiences with the world & each other, on a more profound level. Her Master’s degree allows her to think of technology as a tool for growth in education, & how it can be used to empower students. When not teaching, Rachael can be found exploring her comic side through standup comedy.
ela
Ruth
Teacher
Originally started teaching way back in the ‘80s to young adults, she loves seeing those "ah-ha" moments when a student understands a concept. Sharing a favorite book and having someone else like it too is one of her few pleasures in life. Enjoys reading, spending time with family outdoors, hiking, & skiing whenever possible. Believes in teaching to the whole child. Loves cracking silly jokes and seeing the kids smile. Is a great listener.

My son has started writing essays and reviews on his own, and is always looking for ways to practice what he’s learnt in the program. Thanks Talentnook. Waiting for the next semester to start soon!

Before, the words ‘writing’, ‘essay’ and ‘assignment’ would send my 4th grader running! But now, he’s become much more confident and fluent in his writing and comprehension skills, and I can see he’s developed a love for English Language Arts. Amazing! Thank you Mrs. Eileen.

I joined the ELA program hoping my 13-year old would advance her English skills further. With their intensive curriculum and Mrs. Eileen and Mr. Axel’s constant guidance, I could see a dramatic improvement in her communication skills and her writing matured within weeks. Very glad to have chosen this program.
