A credentialed English educator from California, she has made thousands of high school and college students fall in love with English over the last 15 years. A children’s book author, avid cyclist (aiming for the races) and mom of four, she loves making the language meaningful through literature, figurative language, & conceptual knowledge. Rebekah
Teacher
A communications expert with a strong background in HR, she’s worked for hi-tech companies and taught English to kids and young adults alike. An author and a happy baker ‘whenever time allows’, she believes a strong command of the language is a must for all. And she loves seeing those precious “aha” moments every student has when learning about the language she’s been teaching more than 30 years.

Axel
Teacher
A teacher of both college-level and K-12 English, he has taught literature of all kinds, guiding student discussions through collaborative and collective classwork. He enjoys the hard labor involved in teaching writing as an art and craft, of expanding the student’s imagination to what is possible beyond the confines of traditional grammar and English learning methods. A resident of Pleasanton, California, he can be found hosting gaming tournaments and lending his voice to social justice movements in his spare time.

My son has started writing essays and reviews on his own, and is always looking for ways to practice what he’s learnt in the program. Thanks Talentnook. Waiting for the next semester to start soon!

Before, the words ‘writing’, ‘essay’ and ‘assignment’ would send my 4th grader running! But now, he’s become much more confident and fluent in his writing and comprehension skills, and I can see he’s developed a love for English Language Arts. Amazing! Thank you Mrs. Eileen.

I joined the ELA program hoping my 13-year old would advance her English skills further. With their intensive curriculum and Mrs. Eileen and Mr. Axel’s constant guidance, I could see a dramatic improvement in her communication skills and her writing matured within weeks. Very glad to have chosen this program.
