In this hands-on clay program, students will explore a variety of sculpting techniques and themes that change each semester. From pinching and shaping simple forms to building coil structures and creating slab-based sculptures, each session offers a new creative challenge. Students create both decorative and functional pieces they’ll be proud to take home. Along the way, they gain confidence, self-expression, and fine motor skills, all while having fun with clay. This is more than an art class; it’s a joyful space where students grow, create, and discover the satisfaction of making something with their own two hands.
What happens in the class
Each class is a lively mix of creativity, skill-building, and exploration. Students begin with guided instruction on a new technique or theme, followed by hands-on sculpting time where they bring their ideas to life in clay. They collaborate, ask questions, and express themselves freely in a supportive environment. Each class promotes focus, patience, and fine motor development in a fun, relaxed setting. Students also learn to discuss their work using basic artistic terms. Throughout the session, Parents receive finished artwork and in-class photos that capture the creative moments and growth happening each week.
